Why do parents think I don't understand them? Because I don't buy into the idea that their kid is special, or their kid is a highly feeling child, or their kid is a highly energetic child, or their kid has auditory processing disorder.
I don't care what's wrong with your kid. He needs to listen. She needs to listen. And you've got to be in charge, no matter what.
I'm not into abusing them. I'm not into critiquing them. I'm into parenting them. I don't want to traumatize children. I want to nurture them.
Pia Mellody says trauma is when a child receives anything less than fully nurturing behavior from the parent. I want to fully nurture the kid. I just don't want to kiss their butt.
